Sightseeing in the eternal city

I travelled to Rome with my husband and 2 children this past July. We stayed near the Piazza de Popolo in a quaint attic room suited for a family of four. The concierge was fluent in English and extremely helpful with our inquiries.

We arrived in Rome via rail since Rome flights from Milan were expensive. During our stay in the Eternal City, we travelled on foot to every major site. We walked past the Spanish Steps (ironically designed and funded by the French in the 18th century)
